OPEN is a GROUP SHOW, held twice a year, open to all artists and makers in Park Royal.

OPEN04 will take place in September, during London Design Festival 2023

Submit 1 artwork by Wed 23 August to be included in the Group Show

A chance to show your work to a wide Festival audience, come together, meet, collaborate, and celebrate.

As part of the exhibition, we will have a special live POPUP PRINT SHOP, and extend the exhibition out into the streets with 15 ARTBOARDS mounted on buildings and benches throughout Park Royal.

DETAILS

ARTWORKS

  • 1 artwork per person as space is limited. No wider than 150cm please.

  • Works can be for sale, there will be no commission, all proceeds go to the artist, but all sales, packaging, postage, delivery are handled by individual artists.

  • Prices and contact details will be accessible in an online catalogue

  • All artworks must be dropped off on Monday 4 Sept, and Tuesday 5 Sept, 11am - 6pm at Excelsior Studios at either Daniella’s office (just behind the coffee shop) or Brooke’s studio (35B). At the drop off, please unwrap and take away any packaging materials, we cannot store these.

  • We will aim to hang the artworks with non-removable fastening, so they cannot be lifted from the walls. Please note that we cannot offer insurance for the artworks or be liable for any loss or damage. If you wish to insure your artwork, we ask artists to organise this themselves individually.

  • Collection of artworks after the show is Fri 27 Oct. All works need to be removed on that day.

POPUP PRINT SHOP

  • As part of the exhibition, we will host a live Popup Print Shop, where we will sell special edition prints of the artworks in the exhibition

  • Size of the prints will be A3 (29.7 cm x 42 cm)

  • They will be accessibly priced at £15, of which £10 will go to the artist and £5 will be used to cover the printing, paper, and packaging costs

ARTBOARDS

  • For OPEN04, we will extend the exhibition out into the streets of Park Royal

  • We will select 15 artworks from the show, which will be displayed on A0 and A2 ‘Artboards’ which are mounted on buildings and benches throughout Park Royal

  • The Artboards have been made using reclaimed wooden pallets from ‘Re-Made in Park Royal’

HOW TO SUBMIT

Deadline: Wednesday 23 August

What you’ll need:

  • Digital image of your artwork (as high-res as possible, max. file size of 10MB)

  • Your Name

  • Title of artwork

  • Price of artwork, or “NFS” if not for sale

  • Dimensions of artwork in cm

  • Description of material

  • Hanging specifications eg. special requirements, weight etc

  • Description of Artwork concept (optional)

  • Short biography about yourself and your practise

  • Links to social media, website, etc.

  • Preferred link for the most direct way to purchase eg. online shop, email address, instagram DM
