Multidisciplinary artist Dan Mauz shares his mind and unconventional visual approach in his solo exhibition, VISUAL LEXICON Vol.1, displaying selected paintings, sculptures and installations conceived by the artist in the past five years.
Considering art as a form of understanding & communication parallel to language, clarity of intention and simplicity in material translation are key to Dan's practice.
His artistic research pivots around matters of the existential such as raw emotions, social dynamics and faith... striving for symbolic precision, in his work Dan aims to convey a visual meaning as exact as speech can reach, yet imbued with the power and universal accessibility of the visible, inviting - with a good dose of humour - the viewer to both an immediate and reflective engagement.
